Chicago and fashion style....suggestions?

This question is most gear towards the ladies -- OK I%26#039;m gonna visit Chicago in late Jan. early Feb. to see if I wanna move there, work there, etc. Anyways I know dress warm but what type of clothes do the ladies all wear when goin to work? I%26#039;m comin%26#039; from NJ area so it%26#039;s hard to know. I cant imagine you all are wearin%26#039; skirts in 36 degree cold! What about shoes?? What types? I don%26#039;t wanna look like a fool when job hunting. Can u gimme some websites, brands, stores whatever that show me typical chicagoan wear for the ladies, ages 20-30. Do it get real ICY in chicago too? okay TY.

Chicago and fashion style....suggestions?
elledriver80 - women in Chicago dress just like women in NJ.

Or, to be more accurate, like women in NYC (only a little more casual). Chicago is, after all, the third largest city in the US (after NYC and Los Angeles) and a major center of business and culture.

By the way, I%26#039;ve been to NJ and NYC and the weather in Chicago is pretty much the same as the weather in NJ (NJ gets the same weather as Chicago, usually a day or two later). And, yes, we do sometimes wear skirts in 36°F cold. We even wear skirts in -36°F cold.

Just like in NJ, what you wear to an interview would depend on what type of job you%26#039;re going for. If you%26#039;re interviewing for an executive position wear a suit (with a skirt). If you%26#039;re applying for a job as a supermarket checkout person it may be okay to wear slacks.
