Girls help! Fashion question for a guy?

Hey ladies,





Just wanted your quick opinion on this.





Okay so I have a cousins engagement to attend so I gotta dress up all formal. I was thinking the typical look - white shirt, black formal pants, black dinner jacket...you know the james bond type of look.





One thing I%26#039;m stuck on though...should I wear a bowtie or a tie?? What do you think would look better? I asked my gf about this and she said to go with the tie since the bow is kinda girly. I dunno, what you ladies think?





Oh also, I don%26#039;t really know much about clothes (duh) so I don%26#039;t know what is supposed to match what. Shoes match the belt isn%26#039;t it? :S





I gotta dress to impress!

Wear black shoes and a black belt with it. You got it, the shoes gotta match the belt. I think you should wear a regular tie. But don%26#039;t hold back on patterns, wear a nice, non-plain pattern since the rest of the outfit is so plain. (It isn%26#039;t a bad thing that it is plain, every man will be wearing the same thing so it won%26#039;t matter.) I think you should let your girl friend pick out your tie, tell her to get you something that really shows your personality.
Reply:welll if you want to look fashion savvy...you could try a bow tie if you%26#039;re ambitious...but if you just want to look normal...go for a nice skinny tie in silver of black. Skinny ties look waaay better than wide ties, are in, and if you choose black or silver...you%26#039;ll look great and will be able to match yr girl some other time in the future if you guys go somewhere in the future
Reply:I don%26#039;t think a bowtie is girly, but I also agree with the tie. Bowties should be reserved for only the most formal of occasions. Since this sounds like an engagement dinner or party, I think a professionlal looking tie is appropriate.
Reply:go with a regulaur tie, preferably a skinny tie, in a solid colour, and its called a blazer and dress pants, not whatever you called it. and wear a black leather/faux leather belt with a simple silver buckle and black dress shoes
